Not only is milk a highly nutritious food, but it’s also incredibly adaptable! Without a question, milk has a place on the table and in the kitchen. Additionally, it can lend its rich body and warmth to delectable savory and sweet milk recipes.

I hope you really enjoy some of my favorite recipes that call for milk, condensed milk, or evaporated milk. Did someone say tres leches cake? Yum! You’ll surely find an excellent milk recipe for you. After all, milk can do it all!

Is it okay to freeze milk?

Yes, of course, you can freeze milk for future use and stop it from spoiling. The milk fat may separate from the water, though, so thaw the milk in the fridge before using and shake it to return it to its normal state.

What milk is used for baking?

That depends. Different recipes call for different milk, but as a general rule, the more fat in the milk, the moister your finished product will be. Also, it helps breads and cakes brown to a more beautiful golden color. Whole milk is a safe bet for most baking milk recipes.

What milk is used for cooking?

Milk is so adaptable that you can use it for a cream sauce, comforting hot drink (what’s hot chocolate without milk?), the base ingredient for chowders, and the list goes on. If you don’t mind calories, whole milk tastes better. If you want lighter meals, use low-fat milk, or even better, a plant-based alternative like almond milk.
